Track record holder for multiple karting tracks and graduate from both the Basic and Advanced Skip Barber Racing School programs, Alex knows how to teach beginners the right habits they need to develop a long lasting and succesful career as a sim racer.

Beginner and advanced classes will be taught in the current Miata MX5 at Lime Rock Park. Both classes will begin in a “classroom setting”, where the concepts will be explained and you will learn how to put them into practice.

𝐁𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬
• Start with 10 minutes of a lead-follow session, increasing speed and working on consistency with braking and lines
• 10 minutes of going back and analyzing driver's lines/braking.
• Look specifically at the weight transfer of the car, making sure their driving is smooth
• Go back on track for another 5 minutes of lead follow
• 10 minutes of coaching live as the student is driving
• Through the last 25 minutes, practice race starts (rolling and standing) and side by side racing with me and the rest of the students (if there are any}. After running for a while, go back through the replay from both perspectives and show things that can be done differently

𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬
• Start with a lead-follow session with rapidly increasing speed for the first 5 minutes of the session
• Once drivers have learned the track, show a tire-saving line, also with increasing speed, using later apexes and earlier braking. Spend 10 minutes on this before moving getting out of the car and reviewing the driving
• Over the next 15 minutes, give examples of passes and where are good locations to make passes. While on track, run side by side with the student to help give them a good idea of how much space they need to give other drivers when racing.
• In the next 10 minutes, have the student work on making passes down straights and into different baking zones, then have them work on trying to defend against another driver
• Spend 10 minutes homing in on a driver's focus on the track in front of them. Get as close as possible on the straight, maybe bump draft and do what I can to get in their head. Make sure that the student isn't losing focus and overshooting the corners. Occasionally, try to make a pass in order to keep them on their toes
• Spend the final few minutes going over video from the session and showing things to work on and change in the future
